Using a broadband Internet connection, there should be no added time to normal backup time, the disc reading speed still being the most important factor.
So far, only some studios are releasing movies with Cinavia protection.Because of the lossless operation, the restore can be perfect, 100% match of the original audio data, therefore making sure that there can be no watermark traces left in, that an updated detector can hang on – it’s future proof.Another thing to consider is that the available track on the protected disc is not lossless.There have been identified a couple of workarounds (listed in the order of usability): 1.Use the audio track from the DVD release of the same movie, particularily handy if it was a Blu&DVD Combo release. Embed DTS core in a PCM track, like in the DTS CDs.The following applies to fw1.60 up to fw4.00 only, so if you want to benefit from this solution do not update your console!The first solution to disable Cinavia came from DVDFab.In a future release, we will provide a function to help the user compare original and watermarked audio side by side and hear the difference. Please listen to it using a pair of headphones in order to hear the watermark-asociated distorsion more clearly (Left ear is the watermark mix, right ear is the clean mix).We consider that it is useful for users to know about the Blu-ray and DVD discs that contain Cinavia protection and about the players that have detectors for it.It works by repairing the audio track, to take it back to original Master quality before the watermark was added to it.For this, a fix pack is downloaded from our server.
